Wrapping up at JSU and moving to Clemson
Trusting God with my students and my future

Finishing up at Jax State
November and the first two weeks of December were full of final events, final meetings, and final goodbyes.
Plenty of students joined us during our Thanksmas party where we shared a meal and played White Elephant. All of our small groups finished up. The girls’ small group ended with a movie night and dinner made by one of my students. My girls were so loving and kind to me by giving me a gift and a goodbye note. I will surely miss them! As the semester came to an end and finals were underway, RUF had one last event while Daniel was at training; our Lessons and Carols. Our ministry team students brought the entire thing together and led it well. As I sat there and watched these college students lead each other in God’s Word and the worship of our Heavenly Father, I felt content in God’s choice of sending Daniel and me to Clemson.
I am eternally grateful to God for how He used, taught, and humbled me while I was at Jacksonville State. I am also so thankful for the ways each of you has supported, loved, and prayed for me during that time.

The Big Move
On December 16th the Hightowers and I made the trek from Jacksonville, AL to Clemson, SC. We got here in the evening and were greeted by people from the church and students to help us unload our giant U-Haul and trailer. My apartment wasn’t ready for me to move into until the 21st, so the Hightowers were very gracious in allowing me to stay with them until I could move into my place. I am now in my apartment and I’m loving it! The past couple of weeks have been full of packing, loading, unloading, and unpacking both my apartment and the Hightower home.
I have been going to Clemson Presbyterian Church and it has been wonderful! Everyone is so kind and has already shown me so many characteristics of Christ through their love and support. I am super excited to get to know the congregation better and to start serving in any way that I can.
Getting Ready for the Semester
Next week we will have our first staff meeting. Daniel and I are excited to get to know our fellow staff members and to see how we can work together. I have been praying about how this semester will go a lot! To be honest, I am quite nervous about starting ministry here. It is very different from doing ministry at JSU, but I have faith that God brought me here for a reason and that He will use my time here well. I am excited to see what I learn while in Clemson and to meet my new students.

Financial Update
A lot has changed since my last financial update. Due to moving to a new city, my budget has increased to $53,489. I am still not fully funded for this year and now have an additional $4,000 to fundraise. This means that I am $11,483 away from being fully funded for my first year of the internship! I will be honest, this is a scary number, but think about where we started. Together we have raised $42,000! Praise God! With that money, I have been able to minister to college students full-time and spread the kingdom of God. This truly could not be done without your support and our Father’s will.
Because I have had to move mid-school year, there are moving expenses that were not originally accounted for. Thankfully, Clemson RUF will be covering most of those expenses, but I am still in need of donations in order to continue this ministry. Please, prayerfully consider becoming a monthly donor or making a special donation to my internship.
If ten people would give $240/month or six people would give $2000 one time, I would be fully funded!
