Start of the Spring Semester
A New Semester and A New Campus

A New Campus
The Spring semester is officially underway at Clemson University, and the Hightowers and I have been here for more than a month. It has been a blast to meet new students and learn about a new town!
If you don’t know, Clemson RUF has about 200 students that show up to large group every week. That’s a wild amount to think about, but God has been so faithful in His provision of laborers for this field. Not just with the amazing staff that we have, but with the ministry team students. There are roughly 60 students on our ministry team. They all help organize, lead, and love our students and RUF. (I’m hoping to get a picture of some of our leaders soon).
Throughout the week we have many opportunities for different Bible studies and small groups. This is so essential to RUF at Clemson because it can be hard for the students to find real community in such a big group.
I have been very blessed to be able to meet with 7-10 freshman girls every week! It’s been amazing to get to know students and help them during this transition period. On top of meeting with Clemson girls, I’m saving some time to call my students at JSU and check on them (more on that later).

A New Staff
I would like to briefly tell you about my staff members at Clemson. There are five of us at work here. Daniel is now the Campus Minister of RUF, so I’m gladly still working with him. David and Lydia have been working at Clemson as interns which is such a blessing because they have been able to guide me through what to do. Pete is finishing up seminary but works as Campus Minister Associate which means that he leads like Daniel but is only part-time.
All this to say that each of us is a vital part of this ministry, and I thank God that He has brought us all together for His work. There are plenty of students on Clemson’s campus for us to reach out to!

A New Church
I have been attending a wonderful church called Clemson Presbyterian! I am slowly gaining a community here and it is so encouraging! On Wednesday mornings I go to a women’s Bible study. We are going through the book of Exodus, and it is such a wonderful time to take a step back from ministry and be poured into by God and other women. I have so enjoyed getting to know the women in my group and continue to pray that God nourishes these relationships.
Students at JSU
The students at JSU are doing a wonderful job at leading and loving each other through RUF. This semester definitely looks different for them, but they continue to have small groups and large group. They are studying the Psalms this semester. Daniel is diligent about keeping in touch and helping them prepare for these studies.
I have been fortunate to be able to continue to love and minister to my girls over the phone. I try to have a phone call with one of them every Wednesday. God is definitely at work in them!

Fundraising Update
As you may remember from my last newsletter, my budget has increased from $49,000 to $53,489. This may seem like a scary big number (and it is) BUT, y’all, God is good! He provides for His people. We see this time and time again in the Bible and in our own daily lives.
I have $7,383 left to raise for this year of the internship. We are so close to reaching this goal. Thankfully, I recently met with a donor who has offered to give a matching grant for February up to $5,000. This means that any new donations or pledges that are given in February will be doubled!! If you are at all interested in how this works or know of anyone who would be interested in speaking with me, please reach out!!
Encouraging Passage
“Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day…’ ‘At evening you shall know that it was the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and in the morning you shall see the glory of the LORD…’”
— Exodus 16:4-7
I wanted to deeply thank each of you for the way that you have loved and supported me through this internship. Truly without your generosity, I would be unable to be at Clemson telling students about the goodness of the Lord. I thank God for sending me here and I thank God for each of you joining me on this journey!
