Giving Tuesday at JSU

A short fundraising update

Hello friends, I know this must be the millionth newsletter you’ve gotten today, so thank you for taking the time to look at this short update. As you may know, today is “Giving Tuesday” and a big part of my job and ministry is raising 100% of all of the funds that I use to live off of and provide items, meals, and scholarships to my students.
When I was placed at Jacksonville State I was given a budget of $49,830 for the entire year to raise and use for ministry. God has been faithful through you already by providing almost $44,000 of that budget!! I am still $6,079 away from being fully funded for this year.

The semester is coming to a close which usually gives interns an opportunity to pick up fundraising again while the students are on Christmas break; however, I will be moving to Clemson, SC in two weeks to begin ministry at Clemson University. This means more moving expenses, a larger budget, and the need for more support.
I would like to ask for you to consider either giving for the first time or increasing your giving. When I say that your support is changing lives, I mean it. I know that I’m thankful for those who supported my RUF when I was in college! For every new donor or increased current donor in the month of December, I will send you a thank you note from one of our students!
I thank you for the work you’ve done already!

Love, Elizabeth

“Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble. And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit. I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
- Philippians 4:14-20
