Fundraising Update!

Dear friends and family,

I wanted to give you a fundraising update. As all of you know, I have spent the past two-plus months fundraising for the RUF internship. My full budget is $47,604. God has been very generous through all of you and your hearts by funding this mission. So far, I have raised $29,360, which is 62% of my entire budget for this year! How amazing is that?! Because of your generosity and His provision, I am only 38% away from reaching my financial goal!

I’m gonna be honest, this has not been easy. People are always asking me how fundraising is going and I tell them, “Depends on what day you ask me”. Some days it is really hard to set up meetings and make phone calls, and it seems like this is not going to work, but then other days God sends me encouragement through you guys. The support that I feel from all of you is not just through finances, but showing me how God can use me, will use me, and is using me. It can be hard to see how God works in our lives. This is why it is important to surround ourselves with God-fearing men and women so that they can help us see God and His work in places we are blind to.

Y’all, the Lord has provided me with a wonderful place to live. I found an apartment close to campus and that is big enough to have plenty of students over for Bible studies and fellowship events. My move-in date is August 4th. I’m so excited to finally be in Jacksonville; however, I am also very nervous about leaving Cookeville. Please pray for me during this transition.

This week I will be back in Denver for training. I am so excited to be able to spend more time with my friendterns! This will be such a great place to share our struggles and encourage one another. I am also excited to learn more about how I can best serve my campus and minister to the students at JSU.

As I said, I still have 38% of my budget to raise. That is a total of $18,244 for the whole year. I have had a very generous donor who is giving me a matching grant. All of the new donations that come in from now until September will be matched up to $4,000. This means that anything new that is given to me will be doubled until I reach $4,000! Praise God for this donation and all of the donations that He will provide! If you or someone you know is interested in participating in this matching grant, please call, text, or email me! A verse that comes to mind is Philippians 1:3-6:
“3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

Prayer Requests

1. Please continue to pray for new donors and the continued provision of this mission.

2. Praise for my new apartment!! Seriously, I thank God every day for how it all worked out. Pray for my move on the 4th.

3. Pray for training. That I will be diligent in learning how to better minister to my new students.

4. Praise for all of you and your generosity!!

5. Pray that I will continue to trust God and focus on Him, not my sinful heart.
